Shouse given retirement send-off

Dozens of well-wishers and past and present city and county officials assembled in the small assembly room of the City-County Building last Monday to honor Ed Shouse.

Shouse, who is leaving as Knox County Trustee after 34 years of service in local government, was the honored guest in a retirement luncheon. Present at the event were Charme Allen, Justin Biggs, Richard Briggs, Jimmy Duncan Jr., Mike Hammond, Kirk Huddleston, Glenn Jacobs, Larsen Jay, Becky Massey, Nick Pavlis, Charlie Susano, Janet Testerman, Gary Underwood, John Whitehead and Sherry Witt.

The luncheon was a "Who's Who" of Knox County political figures.
